The History
Founders: Filomena and Frank Polsinelli

Michael Anthony Hair was founded July 1st, 1974 in Bolton, Ontario by this dynamic husband and wife duo. Their mission was to incorporate a modern edge using new ideas to create a salon with a different approach. According to Frank Polsinelli, “there wasn’t anything like this salon in town; we really wanted to offer people a place where they could be comfortable bringing their whole family, but still be committed to innovative designs and cutting edge business philosophies…" This concept of creating a modern “family environment” proved to be the core of Michael Anthony Hair's success.

After spending their youth watching their parents’ busy salon thrive, sons Michael and Anthony Polsinelli became apprentice hairdressers in the salon.The youth, energy and talent that these two young men brought to their family's salon was instrumental in ushering in a new generation of innovation to Michael Anthony Hair.The boys brought in a new level of artistic expression and were committed to elevating the artistry offered in the salon.

In 1995, yet another of the Polsinelli children joined the salon team. Gina Polsinelli brought a whole new aspect of business to Michael Anthony Hair — Esthetics!  The Salon’s menu of services grew to include nail and skincare services with a technical and stylish modern edge.

The motivated team from Michael Anthony Hair is hand-picked by the salon team for not only their artistic ability, but also their strong ambition, quest for learning and superior attitudes.The salon management is committed to helping each individual discover his or her own personal mission and custom tailors the education programs to each employee's needs. Everyone on the team realizes that by sharing the salon vision of growth and learning they are able to not only benefit the business and salon customer but also create a strong path for their own future success.
